When ELAN was imagining Made au Québec 18 months ago, we had no inkling how timely it would be. The project is designed for francophone audiences curious to know more about the flourishing Anglo art community, which can still be something of a mystery. Made au Québec brings together stories about anglo-Quebecois artists in the news from local, national and international media.

Traditional print media are downsizing and migrating online. ELAN has assembled a list of online media and podcasts that cover the arts. Please take a minute to read the list and help us improve it: who else do you trust online to provide quality, insightful previews, reviews, interviews, podcasts, listings, videos...? ELAN is the English Language Arts Network, and most of the time we focus on Arts Network activities. However, for the past few months a good deal of our attention has been devoted to the English Language part of our mandate. The election of a Parti Québécois government, the election night shooting, and proposed revisions to Bill 101 (not to mention OQLF zealots and Pastagate) have thrust the language issue back into the spotlight. The francophone media have never devoted so much time to interviews, panel discussions, and surveys to find out what the Anglo minority is thinking and feeling.
