French-language spotlight for the best of Anglo Quebecois arts and culture

Montreal: February 27, 2013 – On March 22nd, the English Language Arts Network (ELAN) of Quebec will launch its next major project, the Made au Quebec website.  This unique French-language portal will promote all that is new and relevant in the world of Quebec’s English-speaking artists to broader audiences in the province and beyond, covering the creative worlds of dance, film & video, music, theatre, visual arts, and writing.

ELAN brief re proposed Bill 14

Earlier this month, ELAN submitted a brief to the National Assembly of Quebec’s Committee on Culture and Education about the general consultation and public hearings on Bill 14: An Act to amend the Charter of the French language, the Charter of human rights and freedoms and other legislative provisions.
